GOD’S CHILDREN ARE LITTLE BROKEN THINGS by Arinze Ifeakandu wins the Dylan Thomas Prize!š
We are beyond delighted to share the news that Arinze Ifeakandu has won prestigious Dylan Thomas Prize for his debut story collection, Godās Children Are Little Broken Things.
The prize, which recognises literary works by authors aged 39 or under, is one of the most prestigious awards for young writers in the world. The chair of judges, books editor at BBC Audio Di Speirs, said Ifeakanduās collection āshines with maturity, the writing bold, refreshing and exacting but never afraid to linger and to allow characters and situations to develop and change, so that the longer stories are almost novels in themselvesā.
Previous winners include Patricia Lockwood, Raven Leilani, Bryan Washington, Guy Gunaratne, Kayo Chingonyi and Max Porter.
